Job Overview

Thornhill English Tutor is looking for enthusiastic and driven certified teachers to work privately with students in grades 5-12. With extremely high quality standards, our tutors must have that special X factor-- confident and bubbly yet also patient-- while also being able to recite Shakespeare and grammar rules in their sleep.

Thornhill English Tutor pays between $27-35 per hour for 1-on-1 lessons.

We also understand that being an educator, one who divides their time between the classroom and private tutoring, along with a busy schedule, is a remarkable individual who deserves to paid respectfully for their gifts.

Qualification Requirements

• OCT teaching license, ideally in high school English, but you may still be considered if qualifications and experience level is sufficiently impressive
• Extensive knowledge of Ontario English curriculum
• Independent and goal-oriented, capable of diagnosing a student's weakness and developing lessons accordingly
• Strong English language written and oral communication skills and able to teach all levels would be a bonus.
• Extremely confident!
